About Me

I am an immigration lawyer at Blake Immigration Law in Alexandria, Virginia where I specialize in removal (deportation) defense, asylum, and family-based petitions. I also teach immigration law as an adjunct professor at George Mason University Law School in Arlington, Virginia and write immigration law updates for the legal website Nolo

I earned my law degree at the University of Michigan Law School and also hold a master's degree in international relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS)

My articles on immigration, asylum, and international law have been published in Jurist, The Hill, The Globe Post, The Seattle TimesYale Journal of International Law Online, Michigan Law Review Online, and Georgetown Journal of Law and Modern Critical Race Perspectives, among others.
